Quick Installation Guide
1. Overview
This quick installation guide describes the objectives, organization and basic
installation of the PLANET DVR-471 / DVR-1671 surveillance system, and offers
standalone system to build a distributed surveillance system, which can be
monitored via network, and equipped with hard disc drive that records the video
directly. Also, this guide shows you how to find additional information on related
products and services.

4. HDD Installation
Step 1:
Lock HDD holder symmetrically in the two sides of HDD with racks and
screws.
Make sure the position between HDD and racks.
The HDD must be installed before the DVR is turned on.
Note
Step 2:
Insert the SATA cable and power cable into SATA HDD.

Step 3:
Lock the HDD onto DVR machine.
Step 4:
Insert the SATA cables into the sockets on the main board. Make sure the
HDD1, 2 cables insert into HDD1, 2 sockets.
Now, the installation was finished

5. Hardware Installation
1. Connect your cameras to the Video Inputs.
2. Connect your main monitor to “Video Output” or “VGA” connector.
3. Connect the “Ethernet” port to your switch / hub via RJ-45 cable.
4. Connect the bundled power adapter (DC 12V) to the “Power In”
5. Switch the “Power Switch” to turn on your DVR.
