Batter y Installation
The battery cover is located on the back of the unit. Slide the cover in the
direction of the arrow to gain access to the battery compartment

insert 2 AAA(UM-4) batteries into the compartment.Make sure that
batteries are positioned in accordance with the diagram located below
batteries in battery compartment. Replace cover.
Note:
[1] A low battery icon E appearing on the LCD display indicates a weak
and replacement is necessary.
[2] To ensure that the preset memory and time are not lost during battery
replacement make sure that power on/off switch
is in the off

position and that the batteries are replaced within 3 minutes.

Setting Time
When batteries are installed for the first time the LCD display time digit will
flash indicating that the time needs to be set. The clock can be set with
the power off but the lockswitch
must be off. To set time press Time

Set Button for more then 2 seconds until hour digit flashes. While

hour digit is flashing use Time Adjust Buttons
and 14 to select the

correct hour. Pressing Time Set Button 8 again will cause the minite digit
to flash. Use same procedure as hour set to set minite set. Press Time Set
Button
to finalize time setting.

Long Term Alarm Set
Press Standby Button for more than 2 seconds until hour digit flashes.

Set minute desired same way as hour was set. Press Standby Button
again to finalize setting.

LCD will return to real time and Standby Set icon F will appear in display .
A buzzer will sound when set time is reached and will continue for at least 3
mimutes or until it is stopped by pressing the Power On/Off Button.
Short Term Alarm Set
This receiver is equipped with a short term 1-180minute timer.To set timer
Press theAlarm Set Button 9 for more than 2 seconds until LCD alarm

RADIO OPERATION
Antenna/Earphone Use
The earphone cord acts as an antenna during reception of FM/TV/Weather
Band(DT-300/300V/300VW)channels and should be extended as much as
possible to improve sensitivity. Insert the earphone into the earphone jack

for earphone operation . When listeningwith the built-in speaker the enclosed
pig tail trailing antenna should be inserted intothe earphone jack
will provide antenna function.

rotate the radio for maximum dignal strength .No other external antenna is

Monaural or Stereo headphone reception may be selected durning FM
reception by alternately pressing the Mono/Stereo Button 9 The Speaker

Lock Switch
To Prevent accidental changing of any of the radio settings move the Look
Switch 3 to the locked position. When engaged in the locked position
the icon key D will appear in the LCD display. To release the lock switch
simply move the switch to the off position. Make sure lock Switch
is in

off position when radio is to be used as radio is completely inoperative
until lock switch isreleased. If the radio is not to be used for any extended
period of time,battery powersaving may be relized by setting lock switch
in its locked position during storage.
