COPPER SPUR UL2 AND UL3 SETUP INSTRUCTIONS  
1. Remove contents of stuff sack and lay tent body flat on ground.  
2. Assemble the two poles: A hubbed pole and a short, straight pole.  
3. Insert the tips of the hubbed pole into the grommets at the four corners of the tent.  
CS2: the shorter pole sections from the hub, that form the smaller “v” correspond to  
the green webbing at the foot (narrower end) of the tent. The larger “v” section corre  
sponds to the black webbing at the head of the tent. CS3: the hubbed pole has equal  
length pole sections so the pole tips may be inserted at either end.  
4. Attach the plastic clips on the tent body to the hubbed pole frame that is now standing.  
5. Place the straight pole across the top of the ridge pole already set up. This pole has  
round clear pieces on it that you will slide into the “u” shaped clips above the doors  
on the tent body.  
6. Drape the fly over the tent body, without clipping the buckles yet, matching the green  
and black webbing straps on the fly with those on the corners of the tent body.  
7. Insert the tips of the cross-pole into the webbing pockets located above the doors on  
the underside of the fly.  
8. Clip the buckles of the fly and tent body together.  
9. Stake out all corners and guy lines for maximum stability, space and ventilation.  
Separate 6", large diameter pole segment included for emergency field repair.  
Slide repair pole over the break to act as a splint.  
FAST FLY SET UP INSTRUCTIONS  
If you purchase the optional Big Agnes footprint for any of our models, it will enable you  
to pitch a Fast Fly shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration  
requires the footprint, tent fly, poles and stakes.  
1. Lay the foot print on the ground and stake out.  
2. Assemble the hubbed pole and insert pole tips into grommets on foot print. CS2: the shorter  
pole sections from the hub correspond to the green webbing at the foot (narrower end) of the  
footprint. CS3: the hubbed pole has equal length pole sections so the pole tips may be inserted  
at either end.  
3. Drape the fly over the pole frame matching the green webbing on fly and footprint together.  
4. Assemble single cross pole and place it across the middle of the hubbed pole, inserting the  
tips into the webbing pockets on the underside of the fly, above the vestibule doors.  
5. Clip buckles of fly and footprint together and cinch tightening straps at corners.  
6. The cross pole will align across the hubbed pole frame when you insert the tips into the  
webbing pockets on the fly and clip all the buckles of the fly to the footprint. When the  
fly is staked out tightly, the cross pole will be stabilized under the fly.  
7. Stake out all corners and guy lines for maximum stability and space.  
HELPFUL HINTS FORTENT SET UP  
• Our tents are easy to set up but we suggest you practice once at home before using  
them for the first time to avoid late night bickering with tent mates while fumbling  
around in the dark.  
• Before pitching tent, clear campsite of debris that may pierce tent floor.  
• Big Agnes tents are all freestanding, but we recommend staking them out to increase  
space and keep your tent from becoming a tumbleweed.  
• Hang onto your stuff sacks or they’ll blow away and create backcountry litter.  
• Pull on the pole sleeve fabric when inserting poles to avoid any bunching in the material.  
• Push rather than pull poles through pole sleeves.
