SAFETY WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS  
1. Always wear ANSI-approved safety impact eye goggles during setup or use.  
2. Maintain a safe working environment. Always keep the work area free of obstruc-  
tions, grease, oil, trash, and other debris. Do not use this product in areas near  
flammable chemicals, dust, and vapors.  
3. Read and understand all instructions and safety precautions as outlined in the  
manufacturer’s manual of the battery with which this product will be used.  
4. FIRE HAZARD! Never allow the red and black Battery Clamps to touch each  
other or the same metal object.  
5. WARNING! Lead acid batteries generate hydrogen gas during normal operation,  
and even more gas is generated when the battery is charging. Hydrogen gas is  
explosive and highly flammable. Never smoke near a charging battery.  
6. Plug the Charger into its electrical outlet only after it is connected to the  
vehicle’s battery.  
7. Do not attempt to start a vehicle with the Charger connected to its battery.  
8. WARNING! If battery fluid comes in contact with skin, wash with soap and water and  
rinse with lemon juice and vinegar. If the fluid comes into contact with eyes, flush  
with water for several minutes and contact a physician immediately. Never burn a  
battery as it can explode in a fire. Do not attempt to charge a leaking battery.  
9. WARNING! People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before using  
this product. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to a heart pacemaker could  
cause interference or failure of the pacemaker. In addition, people with pacemakers  
should adhere to the following: Caution is necessary when near the coil, spark plug  
wires, or distributor of a running engine.  
 
To Charge A Battery Using The Ring Connectors:

1. Make sure the transmission of the vehicle is in PARK” and the emergency brake  
has been set. Also, turn off the engine of the vehicle prior to connecting the Battery  
Charger to the battery of the vehicle.  
2. Attach the RED/POSITIVE (+) Ring Connector of the Permanent Connection Cord  
(4) to the POSITIVE battery terminal of the vehicle.  
3. Attach the BLACK/NEGATIVE (–) Ring Connector of the Permanent Connection  
Cord (4) to the NEGATIVE battery terminal of the vehicle.  
4. Unplug the Connection Cord Cap (5) from the Permanent Connection Cord (4).  
5. Connect the Permanent Connection Cord (4) to the Output Cord (3) of the Battery  
Charger.  
6. Plug the Power Cord (2) of the Battery Charger into the nearest 120 volt, grounded,  
electrical outlet.  
7. The RED (AC Power) light on the Main Unit (1) of the Battery Charger should be  
illuminated. This light indicates the Main Unit is receiving 120 volt electrical power  
from the electrical outlet.  
8. The YELLOW (Charging) light on the Main Unit (1) of the Battery Charger should  
be illuminated. This light indicates charging is taking place.  
9. The GREEN (Charged) light on the Main Unit (1) of the Battery Charger will illuminate  
when the vehicles’ battery is fully charged.  
10. Once the vehicle’s battery is fully charged, unplug the Power Cord (2) from its 120  
volt electrical outlet. Disconnect the Permanent Connection Cord (4) from the Output  
Cord (3) of the Battery Charger.  
NOTE: If desired, the Battery Charger may be left connected to maintain the battery’s  
charge.  
11. Plug the Connection Cord Cap (5) back into the Permanent Connection Cord (4).  
This allows you to leave the Permanent Connection Cord attached to the vehicle’s  
battery. Always make sure the Permanent Connection Cord is positioned away  
from hot or moving parts of the vehicle’s engine.  
12. Make sure to store all parts (except the Permanent Connection Cord) in a clean, dry,  
safe location out of reach of children.

TROUBLESHOOTING  
1. Problem: The Battery Charger is plugged into an electrical outlet, but no lights on  
the Main Unit (1) are illuminated.  
2. Possible Solutions:  
A. Check to make sure the Power Cord (2) is properly plugged into a working 120  
volt, grounded electrical outlet.  
B. Check to make sure the connections to the vehicle’s battery posts are secure.  
C. Open the Fuse Holder (6) to inspect the 3 AMP Fuse (7). If necessary, replace  
the Fuse.
