Inserting or changing the Braun energy cell

The energy supply must be  
switched off (switch A at  
position «0»).  
Press the «open» release  
button E and pull off the  
handle.  
Insert a Braun energy cell  
into the handle as shown in  
the illustration (arrow on  
energy cell pointing  
upwards). Push the handle  
with the energy cell back into  
the appliance until it snaps  
into place.  
The handle is  
provided with an  
energy level  
indicator F that  
shows when the  
50  
25  
%
filling level of the energy cell  
is 50% and below.  
Only use Braun maxi energy  
cells. These are available  
from the store where this  
appliance was purchased,  
as well as from authorised  
Braun Service Agents.  
The energy cells can be  
taken out or changed at any  
time, even if they are only  
partly filled.

To start the energy  
supply shift switch A  
up to position «1».  
(the protective cover  
H must be removed).  
Wait 3 to 4 seconds.  
Shift switch A further  
up to the «start»  
position until you can  
clearly hear a click.  
This starts heating up  
the appliance.

Red dots shining in  
the ignition control  
window indicate that  
the styler has ignited  
and is heating up.  
In the unlikely case  
that it does not heat  
up, make sure the gas  
is on and push the  
start switch again.  
After approx. 1 to 2  
minutes, the ready  
indicator dot D  
changes colour. Only  
then is the appliance  
ready for use.  
Let the switch slide  
back to position «1».

Cleaning  
Make sure the appliance is switched off and cold.  
The tong and the handle can be cleaned with a soft damp  
cloth if necessary. Never immerse the appliance in water.  
The brush attachment and the protective cover can be  
cleaned in warm, soapy water.  
Storage  
After use or cleaning, always place the heat-resistant  
cover H on the appliance. It can be placed on the product  
immediately after usage. The cover will ensure that the  
appliance does not turn on accidentally.

Guarantee  
We grant 2 years guarantee on the product commencing  
on the date of purchase. Within the guarantee period we  
will eliminate, free of charge, any defects in the appliance  
resulting from faults in materials or workmanship, either by  
repairing or replacing the complete appliance as we may  
choose.  
This guarantee extends to every country where this  
appliance is supplied by Braun or its appointed distributor.  
This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper  
use, normal wear or use as well as defects that have a  
negligible effect on the value or operation of the appliance.  
The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by  
unauthorised persons and if original Braun parts are not  
used.  
To obtain service within the guarantee period, hand in or  
send the complete appliance with your sales receipt to an  
authorised Braun Customer Service Centre.
