Installation
Your 4” Flange Mount Tail Light will require complete installation. It is important that you read the
entire manual to become familiar with the product BEFORE you install and use the 4” Tail Light. If
you do not have experience doing this type of electrical work, the job should be done by an
automotive service technician.
1.
Make certain that the vehicle is OFF and the battery disconnected before installation or
performing service or maintenance. Proceed with the following steps for installing the Tail
Light.
2.
Install the Tail Light into a 4-1/2” round hole facing the rear of the vehicle. If your vehicle does
not have a hole of this size then drilling a hole will be necessary. Make certain that the hole
and connected wiring remain water resistant.
Warning:
When drilling holes, beware of any hidden electrical lines or cables. Make sure
you don’t damage or weaken the structural integrity of the vehicle.
3.
Use a rubber gasket (not included) to line the hole and provide protection for the Tail Light.
Connect the Terminal Pins to your vehicle’s electric wiring system. Always review the
manufacturer’s manual for the vehicle to avoid any damage to the vehicle.
Harbor Freight Tools is not responsible for damage to the Light or to the vehicle which is a
